old art foundation pieces of work...

Below is a photograph I took during my induction into black and white cameras and developing images. For a first attempt I am very pleased and think the angles and straight lines work well together.

1 day brief..

The brief was to create a logo for a classical music festival in Spain, called Music in the Mountains (Musica de las Montanas). We were meant to get across a feel of vibrancy, energy and passion. My initial ideas were very tame and didn't really achieve what I wanted. Therefore I looked at existing logos for some inspiration. I found the logo of the Museum of London and thought it was along the right lines for what I wanted to capture. Therefore I used that style on a guitar and violin and I am pleased with the overall feel and look. However, perhaps the text needs to change position? I have also used 5 colours and do not think this is practical, so I may need to revisit my colour palette.

card fun...

It was my Grandparents 70th Wedding Anniversary the other week so I obviously needed a card. However, I wanted something more personal, therefore I decided to create it myself. Below is my final design for the card.

university of warwick poker logos

I was asked to create a new logo for the university of warwick poker society. Below is my final design. This is the sewn version for the hoodies.

I am pleased with the results, especially as this is my first 'design job'!

final major project for first year

My first project for my first year. It was based on protecting your food from your flatmates. I designed a range of labels to stick onto your food packaging. The idea was you have to break the sticker to get into the food. I was really pleased with this final project, however, I believe I could have developed it more.
